June 12 through August 3
Volunteer to help fight childhood hunger in our community this summer!
For more than 10 years, a team of Palms volunteers has provided kid-friendly meals during the summer to the Gail Baker and Carver Community Centers. These centers serve children in our beaches community and many of these children qualify for reduced or free lunches during the school year. Kids’ Kitchen is designed to help bridge the food gap that occurs when children are out of school during the summer months.
Palms is looking forward to running another successful summer of Kids’ Kitchen, and many volunteers are needed for this project.
Throughout the 8-week program, teams of volunteers are needed to transport food from the Marsh Landing Publix to Palms, pack 80 bags each week with child-friendly meals and snacks, and deliver bags to one of the community centers.
