Hunger Fight Food Packing

We are packing meals for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and for our summer Kids Kitchen program!
Partnering with local Hunger Fight, we will be packing on Sunday, February 4 in Patten Hall. We will pack 30,000 meals of Macaroni and Cheese, Beans and Rice, and Oatmeal.
For this effort we need 100 volunteers and WE NEED YOU to be one of those. Almost all can participate!! Adults and children of almost all age are welcome. Children 4 and older can sign up with a parent and partner together. Children 11 and older can work a station themselves. Even those who cannot stand for the packing can sit at a station and share in the fight against hunger!
There will be a Hunger Fight table in Patten Hall after worship during the month of January where you can sign up to volunteer!
The packing event will begin at 9:45 am and go until 11:45 am. We will gather and worship together at the 8:30 am worship service. At the end of the 8:30 am service, we will be commissioned for our packing event and move to Patten Hall and begin the packing. At the end of the packing, we will go back into the sanctuary (at the end of the 11 am worship service) and we will have a blessing of all the food we packed and the people who will eat it at its final destination.
