Friday, February 23 at 7:30 pm in Palms' Sanctuary
Catherine Fortson Green is a native of Jacksonville and has served as Organist at Palms Presbyterian Church for 11 years. She began music studies at the age of six and became organist at the Naval Air Station Hospital Chapel at the age of 16. Catherine also served churches in Texas and Georgia. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Double Major in Organ and Voice. She earned a Master’s Degree in Organ Performance at Southwestern Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas. While at Southwestern she was Organist and Pianist for the Southwestern Singers, Consort Singers and Men’s Chorus. This concert will include music by J.S. Bach, John Knowles Paine, Paul Hindemith, Marcel Dupre and Max Reger.
All concerts are free, open to all and nursery is provided. Bring a friend or neighbor and join us for this special night of music!
