Opportunities at Palms
Pastor/Head of Staff
The Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) is actively working to find the Pastor/Head of Staff who feels called to Palms. The lengthy process of writing the Ministry Information Form is complete. The form describes our church, its vision for ministry, how a new pastor can help fulfill that at vision, and what characteristics and competencies are required of the new pastor. The form is located in a database maintained by the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Palms’ information form has an identifying number, 04017.AJO, but anyone may search the database using our church name, Palms Presbyterian Church. An interested person may log onto the pcusa.org website, scroll to the very bottom, and on the right side, and under Mid Councils, click on the Community Leadership Connection and follow the prompts to either Palms’ name or the identifying number. Presbyterian pastors will be familiar with the form and the system so may communicate easily with the PNC; however, anyone may address inquiries to the PNC chair, Carolyn Ettlinger at firstname.lastname@example.org
The PNC will be screening and interviewing people until the person called by God to serve Palms Presbyterian Church and the community is found. Until that time the committee seeks your prayers.
