This ministry provides fellowship and care for the congregation. Included in this ministry are:
Presbyterian Women: This well organized group of women offers a variety of ways for women to get involved in bible study, fellowship and mission. They provide local and international mission support, college scholarships, opportunities for leadership development, spiritual retreats, funeral receptions, a variety of Bible studies, in addition to fellowship opportunities. These dedicated women have brought demonstrations of Christ’s love into many of our church wide events and many women’s lives.
Women’s NetWork: A relatively new organized group of younger women dedicated to opportunities for fellowship and spiritual enrichment. In their short existence these women have shown God’s love demonstrated by one of their projects building a Habitat for Humanity house.
Presbyterian Men: Offering spiritual growth and fellowship opportunities to men of all ages. God has truly blessed us with a spirit filled weekly bible study. Join us from 7:15 – 8 each Wednesday morning on the Palms campus. Fellowship activities include dinner events with a prominent guest speaking, monthly fellowship luncheons and two annual golf outings. Outreach includes preparing lunch at the local Soup Kitchen and other programs. We reach out to the men on Fathers Day by distributing free spiritually themed books. The Deacon Ministry
A Ministry of Compassion
“We are called to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress
both within and beyond the community of faith. In scripture the office of Deacon is one of sympathy, witness and
service, after the example of Jesus Christ.” (From the Book of Order, Presbyterian Church, USA)
At Palms, the Ministry of Deacons provides care for our members and extended family.
Deacons meet monthly for continuing support of one another in ministry and for education. In addition, each
Deacon is involved with one of the ministry teams described in this brochure.
