Over twenty people from Palms gathered at beautiful Camp Montgomery on Saturday, October 22^nd for the Annual Men’s Retreat with their children and grandchildren.  A big thank you to Bill Tickle, Del Fisher, and Lou Zitnay for hosting the retreat on behalf of the Men’s ministry at Palms.  We had three families that had three generations represented, and kids from 2 to 18.  We fished, swam (the brave ones), kayaked, hiked, ate hotdogs and hamburgers, and even enjoyed some archery.  We also began with a devotional,  focused on Timothy’s ministry with Paul.  How do we all embrace a teachable spirit?  Are we open to the being mentored in our lives?  And then how do we balance that with not getting locked into thinking there are right and wrong answers.  In a world that seeks to grade us as right and wrong, we must foster creativity in ourselves and our children – and most importantly in our relationship with God.
