Palms Preschool

History

Palms Preschool and Child Care Center opened in 1985 with 48 children. The Extended Day Program (EDP) and Summer Camp began in 1988. The program was initially planned as a ministry of the Palms Presbyterian Church to offer a quality program for working parents in need of full time care for their children. Since that time the program has served over 2,400 families, providing scholarship assistance to over 170 children in the Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding area.

Accreditation

The Preschool has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 1995. This accreditation is a voluntary and rigorous process by which early childhood programs demonstrate that they consistently meet national standards of excellence. The process considers provisions of health and safety, staffing, staff qualifications, collaboration and partnerships, administration and physical environment. The greatest emphasis is on the children’s relationships with the staff and how the program helps each child grow and learn intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. 2011 Tuition Rates

2 year olds- $7,905 annually

3 & 4 year olds- $7,650 annually

Afterschool care for K-5th grade- $67.50 weekly

Summer Camp for K-5th grade- $435.00 per session
