Over the weekend, 12 young men and women joined for the opening retreat of this year’s Confirmation program. Confirmation is the process by which young people engage in a year-long commitment to study and learn about their faith, their Presbyterian heritage, and their Christian identity. At the end of the year, following weekly meetings, 2 service projects, monthly lunches with Elder Partners, another retreat, and leading worship on Journey Sunday, these 12 teenagers will have the opportunity to become active members of Palms Presbyterian Church. The opening retreat was tons of fun, and the group was challenged to grow, learn, risk, and question.
